10-Zone System

The 10-Zone System, a series of paintings and prints, continues Clark Richert’s investigation of hyperspace. While these works resemble Richert-Penrose tiles, they actually represent shadows from 6 and 10-dimensionsal space.

Using the Zometool (that he co-invented with Baer, Pelletier and Hildebrandt), Clark discovered two 3D shadows of the tesseract (Richert blocks) that fill space quasi-periodically, hinting that all Richert-Penrose tilings can be considered shadows of hyper-cubic lattices.
